VIETNAM AIRLINES APPLIES NEW BAGGAGE POLICY

Starting August 1, 2019, Vietnam Airlines is going to apply the piece concept for baggage allowances on all flights.

Accordingly, free baggage allowance is determined by the number of pieces of luggage rather than the total amount of weight that a passenger can travel with. Passengers who have already purchased tickets before the effective date of the new rule are still eligible for the standard baggage allowance as of their existing tickets.

This is an important change so passengers need to pay attention when preparing for the flight. For tickets issued/exchanged on/after August, 1 2019, Vietnam Airlines will offer a new checked baggage policy as below:

✈ BUSINESS CLASS:

Hand baggage : 02 packages, up to 18kg / 1 package (former: 02 packages, 7kg / 1 package)

  • 02 packages of 32kg on the routes of Northeast Asia, Europe, Australia, connecting to the America
